What are sensors?
Sensors are used to count people
traveling past a certain point. They can vary in style, range and functionality
depending on the style of entry being monitored.
TCS Instruments carefully selects sensor types to ensure they
are fully compliant with people counting applications.
Sensor features TCS Instruments focus on are:
 |
Built-in de-bounce technology |
 |
Appropriate delay and reset times |
 |
Ability to install discretely |
Thru-Beam Metal Body
- A photo electric send/receive sensor pair. Ideally suited for aluminium
framed auto-doors, or other doorways where a through beam solution is
preferable.
6M Retro Kit - An Infra-red, horizontal beam, retro-reflective sensor kit.
A cost effective solution for entries up to 6M where there is minimal or no
risk of vandalism.
Ideally suited to shops or corridors.
9M Retro Kit - An
Infra-red, horizontal beam, retro-reflective sensor kit. A solution for entries
up to 9M where there may be a risk of vandalism. This sensor kit is of
industrial quality and strength. Ideally suited for shopping centres, shops,
public access areas.
Emitter/Receiver Kit - An Infra-red, horizontal beam, emitter/receiver or
send/receive sensor kit. A solution for entries up to 60M where there may be a
risk of vandalism. This sensor kit is of industrial quality and strength. Ideally suited for shopping centres, shops, public access
areas.
PIR Kit - A passive infra-red
sensor kit. Ideally suited for narrow entries where there is no infrastructure
for mounting a horizontal beam. Perfect for counting areas with consistently
moving traffic.
AIR Kit - An active infra-red sensor kit. Ideally suited for narrow entries where there is no infrastructure for
mounting a horizontal beam. Perfect for counting areas with static or mingling traffic, such as entries
of retail stores.
Proximity Sensor Kit - An overhead fixed field
(proximity) sensor kit. Ideally suited for narrow lifts as an overhead
sensor, or as a horizontal beam where there is no infrastructure to mount a
reflector as this sensor does not require an opposing sensor or reflector in
order to work.
Pressure Mat
- The mat is a standard industrial floor mat with piezo strips installed to
detect pressure applied when walking over the mat.
